Bulldogs coach Des Hasler may have saved himself with a three-game winning streak earlier in the year, but it’s unlikely it’ll be enough this time around.
According to News Limited journalist Phil Rothfield on NRL 360, Hasler is expected to be sacked, possibly by the end of this week.
“My tip is: by the end of this week – and I’ve made a lot of phone calls to Canterbury today – is that Des Hasler will be (sacked),” Rothfield said. “I think he’s gone.”
“I’m tipping that Des will be gone by the weekend.”
“Who will replace him? I’m still hearing Dean Pay.”
Of course Rothfield isn’t the first to suggest Hasler will get the sack – Fox Sports’ James Hooper said the same thing over a month ago.
It is, however, nice to be given a specific timeline, so we can all stop wondering when the axe is going to fall.
