Titans table rich offer to Taylor

September 15, 2017, 3:44 pm By Joel Leave a Comment

Titans halfback Ash Taylor appears set to become filthy, stinking rich, after the Gold Coast club reportedly tabled him a multi-year, multi-million dollar deal.

According to the Gold Coast Bulletin, the Titans are offering Taylor over $1 million per year if he agrees to sign on long-term.

Whether or not he’s actually worth that much is largely subjective; if Ben Hunt is worth the same price, then you could argue that Taylor is too. Alternatively, if the Storm were able to re-sign Brodie Croft for a fraction of that, then it looks like you’re over-paying for Taylor.

Whatever you think of the deal, if the Titans ultimately get Taylor over the line, they’ll have half of their long-term spine tied up on multi-year deals, which isn’t a bad spot to be in.
