The Bulldogs might have reason to be in a hurry to appoint their next head coach, but the Titans seem to be happy taking their sweet time.
As the Titans continue to make their way through their coaching search, the latest name to pop up is Broncos assistant coach Jason Demetriou.
According to Channel 7 reporter Chris Garry, Demetriou is now a “serious contender” for the job, after being formally interviewed for the role.
Of course, an interview doesn’t mean that he’ll necessarily be appointed, but the name is interesting one. For a club who are forever in the Broncos’ shadow, poaching the assistant to Wayne Bennett, in addition to young Broncos forward Jai Arrow, would add another wrinkle to their big brother-little brother rivalry.
