Well if John Cartwright doesn’t rate the Sea Eagles’ working conditions, he can’t claim he didn’t know beforehand.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Sea Eagles assistant coach John Cartwright is expected to be appointed head coach of the club, when Trent Barrett moves on at the end of the season.
Cartwright is apparently popular with the playing group, and – having only recently signed a two-year extension – is probably the most cost-efficient option, too.
The report indicates that Cartwright was preferred over a list of candidates including Michael Maguire, Neil Henry and (welp!) Tim Sheens.
Cartwright has coached 192 first grade games for the Titans, with a career winning percentage of 45.3%.
